I don’t get just one thing; Why they call EVERYTHING(literally everything that they are countering with their pseudo-science) ‘evolutionary theory’…
And why the hell always when they actually DO talk about evolution state that it explains the origin of life(as it apparently does not, nor can)?
I mean how you can even reason someone like that?
Can i learn someone to differ 50% blue from 50% red if that one is a daltonist…
@mrhnm Meaning that these things formed due to natural (and observable) processes, as opposed to “Magic Man dunnit.” Planet and star formation are not related to life, so them being lumped under evolution is just stupid.
In response to the video, this quote is just too perfect. “Science knows it doesn’t know everything, otherwise it’d stop.” – Dara O’Briain
there may be some things that evolution has not explained (there are some things) but certainly, there is NO evidence against common ancestory, the details still need working out but common ancestory is an undeniable fact
TY AndromedasWake, for debunking Spike Psarris finally. That smug gave us engineers a bad name for claiming creation has any fulfilling explanation against cosmology.
See, the point of a discussion, where one side is science and the other is creationists, is that ideas are exchanged and eventually one sides’ ideas will prevail with rational, respectful arguments that stand on their own.
So far, I have yet to see 1 creationist fully acknowledge 1 countering scientific idea.
Stubborn fellas.
I’m really starting to think getting a degree in chemistry will be a piece of cake, regarding grades, because these creationists with degrees don’t seem to be very smart or either telling lies to sell books. I’m hoping it’s selling lies, they can’t be that stupid. I can understand scientists in the past, a lot wasn’t know but the lay can understand the basics of what’s now discovered. The people listening are even worse. Did they take a high school Biology class?
@0ngus I grew up in the Bible-Belt and still live there, and being an atheist here is seen with fear and misunderstanding, just like how most people here view homosexuals and minorities. I have and wear a shirt that says: “Atheism: A non-prophet organization”. Instead of laughs and smiles for the wittiness of said shirt, I usually just get awkward, disturbed looks. Most of the people are good, nice people, but when it comes to certain subjects, they are just completely off their rockers.
@VanKlaunch that’s awesome man, i myself have been atheist since i was very young (currently 19) but many of my friends have over the past few years gone through similar experiences to yours. it’s always nice to see people figuring things out for themselves and not accepting the crap they are fed on a spoon! peace.
First of all, I wouldn’t DREAM of understanding an infinitesimal part of the theories being presented. My doubt rests in the fact that creationist and theists DEMAND that science proves EVERY DETAIL OF EVERY THEORY EVER PRESENTED, while (conveniently) not offering a sliver of proof to ANY of their theories.
When they say God created… they do not offer ANY SHRED OF A HINT OF PROOF.
Shouldn’t we ask them for spark of proof?????
I was born into a creationist family and I believe it really stifled me. I was installed a sort of subtle paranoia about science, but three years ago when I was 17, I really began studying science. I had the original intention of proving myself right, but with the greatest humility I found I was so very wrong and brainwashed with fear of hell. I became a brand-new person, “born again” you may say (pun intended). I’d like to thank the internet and people like you for sharing science. Logic rules.
“Evolutionary theories say that Mercury cannot have a magnetic field. But it does!”
WOAH!! WTF does magnetic fields have to do with evolution?? O.o
Where do you find these guys?? This incredible stupidity and/or dishonsty is just so through the roof that I think my socks just spontaneously burst into fire!
@AndromedasWake “… “Perhaps he did it this way..” is just mindless, unfalsifiable speculation….”
I agree, it is speculation.
With faith you are not in a pursue of knowledge, you are in a pursue of hope and dreams, there’s just no evidence for such a concept(god,loving-orderly-creation)and theists know this better than anyone(at least they should)because they use the word faith and revere men of faith every-single time.
I take issue with your insinuation about electrical engineers. *thinking* “Fuck why didn’t I just read phsyics?!”
I wish I could thumbs up your entire channal…
Gordon Freeman is not a nuclear physicist, he’s a theoretical physicist. COME ON!

347 creationists watched this.
Thanks Andromeda’sWake for that. Neat clip -well done.
Just one small nit with it – I think the sulphur you note at the 7 min. 25-30 second mark was found on volcanic Io and not water-ice Europa.
Otherwise, its awesome.
@whybag Ok thanks for the clarifacation.
PS Awesome quote.

@drshamast Some clarity and specifics would be nice when communicating opinions.
you did not show any fact just boblboblblb

Lol at the morgan freeman and O RLY? YA RLY.
What do you mean by “Natural Formation” since for something to be formed it has to be natural.
The frequency with which that guy used the word evolution in his “lecture” about the solar system is an embarrassment to all human kind.
Can’t believe I never thought to subscribe to your channel before now. Best dedicated series focused around cosmology yet.

An Eon is really not that long on the scale of a solar system anyway.
