   Things can slow scientific progress: religion, ethics, politics. Science can contribute for impeding scientific progress such as Darwinism. Creationism is based on bible with a lot of speculative evidence. Darwinism is pretty much the same, except its more politically correct for countering religion and filled the gaps with with things that is speculative, but vaguely relevant to scientific principle. Theories that is contrary to Darwinism are automatically dismissed and labeled “creationism”
