Illustrations are great. You’ll find yourself loving a sea worm! Clever story on both the picking eating part and the origin of the Loch Ness Monster. I like at the end how she shows she didn’t grow as tall as her family!

  2. My little girl loves this book so much, she has asked me to read it over and over again. The book is beautifully written and illustrated. I am a professional writer and last summer interviewed one of my all-time favorite authors SARK for our local paper. SARK has written 15 books (and has over 2 million books in print) and she told me that she finds that a children’s book is the hardest kind of book to write, because children see the truth in everything and are very discriminating. That said, Alice Flaherty captured the truth of a child’s disgust for certain foods in such a humorous way and she ran with it…to make this a fascinating story for both young and old. I am going to buy this book as the holiday gift for all my friends with kids.

I have had the book for a while, but my wife just read it to my boys for the first time last weekend. She loved it. Well, my boys already love it, and that is why they asked my wife to read it. The author and artist do a wonderful job at creating a history for the Lock Ness Monster.

Anyone with kids will love this book (and so will the kids).
