There is nothing high definition about this presentation and I’m sure the dvd looks better than the old video they used to re-master. I wish I had seen these reviews before I bought it. Save your money.

After watching the dvd version many times i jumped at the chance to have it in blu ray. Big mistake.
PQ is probably worse than the dvd, sound quality lame and it’s not even in widescreen.
Save your money .Great film, terrible blu ray.

I already owned a DVD copy of this extended version and was looking forward to seeing how the clarity and definition of Blu-Ray would add to the experience. What I received amounted to a simple dub from the normal DVD copy to the Blu-Ray format. The quality of the original DVD played in my Sony Playstation 3 was far superior to the alleged high-def Blu-Ray version. When buying a Blu-Ray version of any movie, it is a good idea to check to see if the film was remastered for high-def and not just copied.

Easily the worst POS blu-ray I own. I love this film, but the production quality of this disk is not even fit for VHS. Or shadow puppets. My DVD copy actually looks nicer. Don’t Bother.

Basically they took the standard-def master from the 2-DVD set and put it on a Blu-Ray disc. THIS IS NOT IN HIGH DEF! It’s the same as the DVD, same quality transfer and sound. If you don’t own the DVD it’s not a terrible buy at $10, and at least you don’t have to change the discs out, but it’s not in HD.
