My impression is that the EDL is to the BNP as Golden Dawn is to LAOS (if you know anything about Greek politics) – no institutional link, but the leadership and to an extent the membership of the EDL overlaps heavily with the BNP, and the EDL takes its political direction from the same corporate media outlets which feed (and in some cases, fund) the BNP.
