one main thing if you are using an ouija board, don't know your religious status, is make sure then you say the st. michael the arc angle prayer before using the board, other wise, I would advise in not using the ouija board. Main reason is that you are allowing a porthole to be open and anything can go through, had one and all I got to say is had real problems with that board, making the long story short.
in stead of the board you can use a digital recorder and ask questions and wait 5 to 10 seconds and ask a different question, also or if you have money try and get a thermal camera that records different temperature variations, but be care full with the ouija board it really isn't a toy take lightly, ( even it says made by barker bros. )

well..if any of your girl friends owns a clothes store,
ask them if you can borrow a dummy.
and tie it somewhere around your house!

another good thing to do is go in with a skeptic point of view, couse chances are there is no ghost

I agree that opening these doors with a ouija board is not a good idea. I've seen what can happen. Having said that, if all you're going to do is go to a "haunted house" and see if anything happens… bring a camera. Take random pictures and pictures at times someone feels cold spots (usually take a picture of the person feeling the cold spot). Sometimes things show up as "clouds" that weren't there when you took the picture. Crazy stuff. Never really tried it but I've heard a lot of stories from people who have. No money means you're not going to go out and buy a thermal imaging device. I'm assuming that you're going to have a number of people with you on your party, so have them bring whatever they have (cameras, for instance). All I can say is there is definitely something beyond the physical world.
