Why is it that so many people like to search for ghosts and readily believe in them?

Good question. I don't believe in ghost myself, but do believe in a spiritual world of demons and angels. I don't think spirits wander the
earth haunting houses or graveyards. I think it is fun to be scared
sometimes and thats what makes people thrive on it.

I like the history of ghosts thats my reason

  3. surojabu says:

Sometimes people want to be scared, yes. But I also think it's a deep-seated need to believe that there is something, some existence, after death. That death is not just an end, that there's something more. Believing in ghosts or spirits gives people that hope.

  4. lusciousd9 says:

I didn't believe in ghosts till I started to see them and hear them knocking and slamming my doors when no one was home…

  5. Mr. Wizard says:

Paranormal research is NOT thrill-seeking—regardless of the researchers being college decreed professionals, their students or a group of close friends, like TAPS, seeking both proof and answers.

People into paranormal research themselves are witness to ghostly encounters and have a driven curiosity to find out more about them.

I do not know. It is a puzzlement to me too! People I work with in a charity shop endlessly go on about things like this and how wonderful clairvoyants are etc, but mention God and prayer and they explode in wrath!

I guess and it is only a guess, that "ghosts" and clairvoyancy does not require a change and behaviour (ie repentance).

I continue to pray for them though, and help practically.

human mind has the tendency to go out of orderliness. Its a fact……..thats why they search 4 these things….and mind u…..its mind working…….we just cannot ignore the facts that mind bestows on us………like the ability to love…………….

  8. Very much in love with God. says:

    I see your point entirely.

People choose what they want to believe in, in spite of evidence for or against.

They can believe in ghosts without having to answer to a higher authority.
And the belief in ghosts has no consequences for their own personal behavior.
    So again it is choice.

  9. made says:

Brethren I respect your views. But lets face it the Bible says that there are ghosts, remember the story of king Soul and the witch?Ghost's are simply spirits, they could be evil spirits and good spirits, there are millions of them out there, some evil spirits masquerade as souls of some dead people. at one point in the Bible, you would hear that a person has a good spirit, kind etc,Then there are people that are wicked.to cap it the holy scriptures in all reverence refers to the Holy Spirit as the Holy Ghost. What is wanting however,is the misplaced horror impression of ghost's that we've inherited over the years.
