one way to find a ghost is to look in a place that had an event of some sort. Most ghosts stay around their death places, a place where a major part of their life took place, or a place where they haunted someone.
what you can do is ask around to people you know and see if they know of a place that is supposedly haunted.
then set a tape recorder and/or a video camera with a long battery life near or at the area of activity. then see what you get. if you want to stick around and do it, don’t do it alone, because if it turns out to be a demon, not a ghost, you have someone there to help you. if you stick around, try to provoke the ghost. if you are fearful of what kind of ghost or demon it is, just ask questions, or ask it to do something. if you are "fearless" then go ahead and piss it off and see what happens…
