  1. door.uk says:

good BUT when you capture your ghost you have no negative to let the scientist test
In other words all you have is a few million pixels that could catch a puff of smoke in the room or a ghost but you try and prove it..

  2. Terry Tibbs says:

    They’re great!

  3. shinoonee says:

Bad idea. The ghosts will melt them. Digital cameras are much more suited for taking pictures of zombies.

  4. Polo says:

They’re only good if you have a camera with a relatively high megapixie rating…. lol

  5. SUPER-GLITCH says:

Well, they seem to work for some – MOST HAUNTED etc.,
    Mind boggling is nt it?

  6. xxamethystnightxx says:

I honestly think that sometimes the best type of camera for capturing those types of things is my film camera. I’ve gotten some great stuff. However, I also understand the want to not want to waste money on all the film. It can’t hurt. You’re just gonna have to deal with batteries and sometimes they like to suck energy out of the batteries.

  7. fivetoze says:

well they show up orbs, and as a proper photographer, i have to admit, it isnt refraction or diffraction… and yes, ive had a few, but my mate, whose very spiritual seems to get hundreds.. but hes only got a cheapo camera…with a lens made from recycled jam jars… and ive got a digital SLR…

i put my flares and orbs down to refracted light from a random source.. silver based photography allows the light to be bounced off a mirror to the film plane, yet Dcams collect information thru a Cmos processor, which sees the difrracton as random orbs… , we cant see it, the traditional film cant see, but just because the Dcams shows it, is it real, or is it literally a ghost in the machine?

  8. manu says:

When i first got one i took a load of random pictures around my house in the dark (like you do!) and low and behold, one picture where my other half is having a lie down on the sofa, behind him on the wall is a man in a suit, just stood against the wall.

  9. reardwen says:

Standard pocket-size cameras are rubbish for taking flash photos because they magnify any dust particles in a dark room into large grey circles.

Also, most digital cameras have a slight delay between pressing the shutter and the exposure taking place. If your ghost is a fleeting apparition, then you may miss it with a digital, whereas with a wholly mechanical camera you might have caught it. Also, if you do catch an image, it is harder for people to say you faked it if it’s on a negative (especially if you’re not trained in darkroom procedures).

If you must use digital, switch the flash off, use a tripod (for stability) and get the best spec camera you can afford. You can enhance dark photos later, using editing software, to see what’s there.

  10. point_less says:

I think that depends if they’re in season yet.Don’t forget to get a license.

  11. Young Uncle says:

1.I think a digital is a great tool for ghost hunting but then a good digital is a bit expensive. Memory can be an expense too.
2.However, the photos can be viewed on location and requires no developing.
3.You can delete unwanted images therefore freeing up memory for more.
4.Except that a digital use more power, depleting batteries much quicker. Make sure you have standbys. Rechargeable batteries are recommended.
5.Digital images can be saved to disk and/or printed on paper. Just remember not to delete them by mistake.

    Happy hunting.

  12. hvy_mtl8089 says:

well, it might work. today, i took a picture of my computer screen. sure, it looked clean, but the picture on the camera showed a bunch of dust particles and finger prints, so maybe.

  13. teego56 says:

From what I’ve heard, they somehow are more in tune with that plane, and that’s why there has been more success capturing pics of ghosts with digital cams.

  14. hasicit says:

i don`t know about ghosts ,but if you get one with a lot of mega pixes you should get some good images of the little people .lol

  15. joe t says:

dont do it . they’re only good for catching leprachauns.

  16. Swords and Smoke says:

I haven’t captured any images of ghosts but I have gotten radar signals at an air show. If it can capture an image of a frequency wave, why not a ghost?

  17. Roz M says:

I met for the first time my natural mother, I said to her, I wonder if your mum and dad would approve of our meeting after all this time. I took a photo, and there were orbs in certain positions in the photo’s. I’m of the old school and I’m not into these newfangled orbs, but they are there, and are interesting, if you want me to send you the photo’s, I will.

  18. Mathilda says:

The ghost hunting sites I’ve visited don’t recommend them because it’s very easy to get false ’spirit orbs’ on them.

  19. WENDY AC says:

I took my APS camera to the Most Haunted Live!in 2004. I took photos of the crew in the graveyard & when they came out there was a white streak across the photo. like someone had been smoking. No One had as I would have moved away

  20. aisha says:

I caught 2 overlighting (2 other faces superimposed over the real face) the face of a friend (using a digital). I’ve also taken spirit photos with my old Advantix as well.
