I believe they are among us. I have seen quite a few with out being able to find out our world explanations.So that is what you are left with.
As for us being able to see them, they use energy.to manifest or some are just lucky or unlucky to be able to see them. To tell you a definite reason some one can see them is something I can not tell you.
Poltergeist move things usually by store and expending their energy in the direction of the object. They are more times then not connected to a specific person who has a lot of energy to feed off of like pre pubescent teens .
There have been a number of really good posts on this subject, and I have been amazed by how many people have replied in the affirmative.
Me? I am in no doubt at all! I have personally seen about a dozen of them, and my house (which is over 400 years old) has 6 of them, 2 of which are visible, 2 of which only manifest as shadows and the other two have never been seen, but manifest by doing things when no one is looking.
Man! I wanna see a ghost! I hope they are real but nobody technically knows. They say there are many different reasons a ghost or poltergeist can move things but that obviously can't be answered yet either if they can't prove existence. I've never seen a ghost, and I believe ones that have been documented were merely creations in the mind of the witness. Ghost Hunters also, while entertaining, has been known to sensationalize and fictionalize findings for the sake of ratings.
i haven't seen a ghost myself but my friend says he had one in his house when he was younger.the so called ghost would knock things off the matlepiece and make loud thudding noises upstairs when his family were all downstairs.sometimes it would slowly make a door swing open and shut.i have always been sceptical about ghosts but his hole family have eye-witness accounts.
i have seen several. One of the best was a video a friend of mine got at Waverly Hills Sanitorium. You could see the face, and even make out the wrinkles around the eyes.

Poltergiest is actually 1 of the 4 types of haunts. All the words means is "noisey ghost". The movie kind of through things off for people
I am a huge believer but when we investigate I am a skeptic.
