Daniel Klein: WATCH: A Lavish Insect Feast, And Why You Should Eat Bugs

Before you call this video gross, or trendy, or sensationalist... watch it. David Gracer, an entomophagy (bug eating) expert gives a pretty good case for making wider use of bugs. From the environmental factors to our own psychological hangups, his ideas are not to be disregarded. In a world of factory farms and GMOs, catching your own eight legged friends could just be the sensible way to go. And chances are you have eaten many bugs before...maybe even every day. And of course I eat like 12 varieties in the video... enjoy.

I Heart Rob Ford: The Tribute.. Of Sorts

Toronto mayor Rob Ford has been under siege as of late.

If it's not allegations of shooting a woman the bird while talking and driving on his cell phone or a nasty row with a certain television comedian in his driveway, it's the unending parade of jokes, all of them at his expense.

Even Woody Harrelson couldn't resist giving the mayor a zing during a Toronto visit.

Of his Ford rendition, Harrelson, 'It wasn't all Rob Ford. It was just his head on someone else's body.'

Oh, did we mention that U.S. pundit Keith Olbermann took the time to dub him 'The Worst Person In The World'?.

If ever there was a need for ray of sunshine in Ford Country.

Say hello to Tasha James, a Toronto-based 'citizen journalist' who, well, in her own words:

I hit the streets and shake the truth out of people. I don't tolerate the pap that passes for TRUTH on the dangerous streets of Toronto and or Timmins as reported by the main stream media conglomerates!

I also do my own hair and wardrobe selection. An I write up my own questions. But I have a asistant Sherrie who holds my stuff.

In this downright effervescent clip, entitled Fast Ford Nation, James drops a beat for the mayor -- and suggests dropping a few other things.

So, we ask, is this another Rob Ford joke? Or has Toronto's top dog finally fanbase? And what a fanbase it is.

'You're the only politician who ignites my ignition,' she sings.

Okay, so there may be a tongue planted loosely in cheek. Why don't you check out this wonderful, strange tribute and judge for yourself?

4-16 In Search Of... Vincent Van Gogh (Part 1 of 3)

Season 4 Episode 16 Part 1 Hosted by Leonard Nimoy and broadcast weekly from 1976 to 1982, In Search Of... is the greatest mystery documentary show ever. I grew up watching this show, enjoying the spine-tingling presentation of quasi-fact and dramatic synthesizer-heavy music of Rinder and Lewis. I am not selling this material, neither am I interested in buying bootlegs. It is currently commercially unavailable, so I am joining with others to make evaluation of this excellent series possible. Check my subscriptions to find users with more episodes, and drop me a note if you have posted any "new" ones. Thanks for watching!

In Search of...The Dark Star: Travel to Africa to find out why the Dogon, a primitive tribe knows so much about astronomy, a black hole, and travelers from outer space. Original broadcast: 20 December 1979. Narrated by Leonard Nimoy
