Jacob (aka Israel)
Jacob, or Israel as he blessed his sons in Genesis Chapter 49.
And how wrong he was! For the sceptre was ripped from them by the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks and Romans before being scattered altogether.
Also, Jesus was never a king of Israel. In fact, Israel (or rather Juda) has not had a king for about 2600 years.
It was the Jacob the patriarch of the Israelites.
