Here is why I believe in the Bible.
I have studied some of the teachings of religions and different denomonations within the Bible. Prophecy is the one thing which leads me to accept the accuracy of the Bible as the written word of God.
First of all the Bible is not any mans interpretation. Men spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy spirit.. The Bible has been written over thousands of years on 3 continents.. All of it coincides one from another.. The problem with interpretation occurs when one feels their finite human knowledge can discern the meaning of Holy scriptures which have manifold meaning. Not one atheist has asked for the Holy spirit to discern the Bible. And those who have asked have received abundantly.
Furthermore the prophecies described in the Bible are the proof.. They are NOT vague and general..
There have been prophecies which described Jesus ministry, when he would die. How he would die, where he would die, what would happen after he died, who would do what with his clothing, which family he would come from. How long the ministry would last..
THE BIBLE PREDICTED THE RISE AND FALL OF THE BABYLONIAN EMPIRE(Dan 7:4), to MEDO PERSIAN with its three provinces Egypt, Lydia, and Babylon. (Dan 7:5)(Dan 8:20), to GREECE(Dan8:21) with its four heads representing 4 generals.(Dan 7:6)(Dan 8:22), to Rome, and the Western Roman divided empire(Dan 7:7)..the Bible foretold the Medo Persian Empire Prophecies of Alexander the great(Dan 8:5) His four generals(Dan 8:8), how alexander would die. Prophecies of Rome uprooting 3 kingdoms(Dan 7:8; 8:9) during the expansion of the roman empire after the year 538 when emperor Justinian gave the keys of the kingdom to the arch bishop of rome, and he moved his kingdom to Constantinople… Please study History, and then read Daniel and the Revelation.. I please email me if you would like proof of these prophecies.. I have the 125 prophcies recorded of Jesus. Not to mention the prophecies about all the empires..
It is my understanding that if the Bible makes a prediction, and no one understands History(which doesn't lie) than how will they know if the Bible is telling the truth?

Most of the bible prophecies have come true. We are still waiting only on the enforcement of Sunday worship and the mark of the beast, which the two will go hand in hand.

obama is pushing for peace in israel like every president.
however, he has changed his position & is now siding w/ the palestinians (why am i not surprised?). he wants Israel to give up her land that she won back in the 6 days war (part of the Promised Land that God gave Israel) & go back to pre-1967 borders. this will enable the Palestinians to have a state & share Jerusalem & the Temple Mount. (Rev. 11:1-2 says the Temple Mount will be shared between Jew & Gentile)
when the peace agreement is agreed upon, it looks like this will be the biblical 'confirmation of the covenant'. (dan.9:27) that means 7 years till the return of Jesus Christ & the battle of armageddon.
other prophecies lining up now…
1) the rebirth of the Holy Roman Empire (the EU). they will have their new contitution completely ratified in 2009. they are shooting for october. they will vote in the 1st president of this new holy roman empire & tony blair is the fron runner at this time. the false prophet & antichrist will come from the revived Holy Roman Empire.
2) preparation for the Temple –
3/7/08, the Temple Mount Faithful were allowed to sacrifice their 1st sheep … although it was not done on the Temple Mount … it was considered an "instructional sacrified … a rehersal for the pasover sacrifice ritual in anticipation of the soon coming 3rd temple to be rebuilt. (II Thess.2:1-4)
they have sewn 120 priestly robes that will be worn during worship at the Temple & Jews are already buying them. they also have the robe of the High Priest ready. it is bright blue.
- the Temple Mount will be placed under a sharing arrangement between Jew & Gentile (Rev. 11:1-2)
- the 3rd Temple is soon to be built (rev. 11:1-2, 2 thess. 2:3-4) . all the furniture & tools are now complete.
- they have a kosher, red heifer of or over 3 yrs. old ready for Temple sacrifice. (Secular Jews think they are still under the OT Law, which says their High Priest has to sacrifice a lamb to roll their sins ahead each year).
3) the newly reborn (as of 6/2005) Jewish Sanhedrin announced they were proceeding w/ plans for building the Temple walls offsite. all they need is the go ahead to actually take this construction to the Temple Mount for the building of the 3rd Temple.
4) the antichrist will stand in the rebuilt Temple & proclaim he is God this is called the abomination of desolation (Matt.24:15) & kicks off the great tribulation which lasts 3 1/2 years – not 7 years (Rev.13:5, Rev. 12:6, Rev. 12:14, Dan.7:25).
5) world government is well underway (Rev.131-8). the Builderbergs, the UN, NAFTA, the CFR are all instrumental in planning the way our world shoud go.
6) the Real ID Act is now law, though meeting some opposition. this is the groundwork which is being laid for the Mark of the Beast (Rev.13:16-18), which will be implemented during the last 3 1/2 years before the battle of armageddon & the return of Jesus Christ.
7) the war that kills 2 billion people (the 6th trumpet) is on the horizon…. & could be this year. the U.S. will probably involved in some capacity sustaining many casualties. (Rev.8:14-19)
these are the events that lead up to the Battle of Armageddon. the allies for the B of A are already siding up & events continue to escalate toward this war.
you would greatly benefit from an endtime bible study called, Understanding the Endtimes. you can go to endtime.com & find out who in your area has the videoes & can give you this study. you will learn soooo much. you can also listen live daily to Politics & Religion or listen to archived programs – this program every day takes world events & talks about them from a biblical perspective.
I just find it hilarious that people believe this shit. So, according to ‘T D’ calculations the end of days is going to start around 2016.. That’s because Jesus is coming then.
You know what I think? I think this is a bunch of horse shit. Seriously, come on people. It’s the Internet. If my grandma told me that I was going to die when I saw a yellow school bus I wouldn’t believe her. But if a book makes horribly vague comments like, “they will build a temple” all of a sudden people panic. Wasn’t the end of the world supposed to happen in 1998? In 2000? In 2012? And now 2016?! It seems like this crap will never stop.
What sucks is I know you nut jobs are going to brag about how right you are when the day actually does come.

does it matter if the prophecy is fulfilled organically or if people did things just so that the prophesy would be fulfilled?
