On knowing about his grasp on Vedic Astrology, we persuaded him to write in English his experiences/ knowledge, so that other readers could benefit from his knowledge. On his acceptance, we started approaching our other regular customers, who had through grasp of Astrology to write for us, prominent among them was Late Shri K.C. Saxena who had deep knowledge and was researching in Bhrigu and Double transit system of prediction, Late Shri L.R.Chawdhri was a master on Lal Kitab and Parashari system of prediction. On getting good response and seeing big potential in astrological market, then we started hunting/ approaching various other writers/ contributors of astrological magazines to write for us, so that other amateur astrologers could be benefit from their knowledge. In this process, we met Mr R. G. Rao, Mr V.K.Choudhry (who has founded the System’s Approach), Mr G.C Sharma, Mr S.S. Saren, Mr K.T.Shubhakaran, Mr P.K.Vasudev, Mr M.S.Mehta, Mr S.K. Duggal, Mr Satyanarayana Naik, DR Srinivasan Sastry, Late. Col. (Retd), Mr. Raj Kumar, Mr S.P.Khullar who is now known for his Sub-sub cuspal interlinks theory, Mr Sumeet Chugh and many other eminent writers. After the death of Mr K.C.Saxena in 1991, we met Dr Shanker Adawal who had come to look for some recent publication of Astrology. He introduced himself to us as the son of Late Shri K.C. Saxena; we got interested in him and started approaching him as and when we received new books on astrology. In the year 2003, we were discussing some charts with Sahkerji, when he disclosed that his father had left behind a huge pile of notes/research articles. We persuaded him to set them right in book-from, so that they could be published for the astrological fraternity; in the process we published thirteen book complied and edited by Dr Shanker Adawal. Seeing big potential of writing in him and his understanding of classical literature we requested him to write a compendium on classical literature, to which he agreed. Now we plan to do with him a series of Encyclopedia of Vedic literature, which will cover history / origin of classical literature, role of Jyotish in respect to natal horoscope, Prashna, mundane and muhurtha with remedial measures.

How is the demand for astrological book? What type of people read these?

The demand for astrological books is not much as compared to other fields like children’s books, fiction or test books. Earlier, most of the readers did not like to be identified that they had been reading astrology, because of its orthodox image. Today people from all walks of life like to read astrology. We have a big list of intellectual readers as our eminent buyers, Including politicians and beaurocrats.

Have you ever done converting matter in Nadi leaves (Palm leaves of ancient sages) to book-form? A lot of astrology matter seems to be available in that form, with hereditary astrology-families.

We have had no access to such script so far; all we have done is book on Chandra Kala Nadi Devakeralam by R.Santhanam.
