What do you think of the stories about people seeing ghosts of former priests offering Mass in church? Is there a possibility for the Mass to be valid? Makes you wonder how he would raise the host during the consecration. It could also be a saint come down to earth to offer the Mass. There is one theory about ghosts called “residual hauntings.” ,Its an energy from an event, usually traumatic or emotional, becomes imprinted on the church surroundings somehow, and you are watching a replay of a recording. One would be seeing a Mass that took place years ago.
