This song is more of a lullaby in Jacob’s perspective, for Renesmee. This is our first Breaking Dawn song! =] Tell us what you think. Sorry the sound quality is not great… the camera was ON the piano while Chandler was playing it, so the lower piano part is kind of quiet while the higher pitches are DEAFENING. Our bad! Sorry. Lyrics: You are a morning glow through years of darkness. How could you ever know what fire sparked this? Delicate hands can touch me where no one else can reach a heart that’s cloaked in unrequited love is breached. (chorus) You’re all that I know how to live for now. You are my savior. Please let me savor your beauty, beauty. Sleep, Nessie. Sleep Nessie. You show me pictures of the things that you hold dear. I’m what you’re thinking of through cherub fingers, it is clear. Your eyes, they see straight through me, past all the fallen lies. I’m not the man I claim to be, but you are wise. (chorus) You’re all that I know how to live for now. You are my savior. Please let me savor your beauty, beauty. Sleep, Nessie. Copyright 2008 The Bella Cullen Project.

Sleep Paralysis Symptoms

Sleep paralysis is a state of awareness that a person enters before falling asleep or before waking. Shortly before entering the sleeping state your mind paralyzes the body from 3 seconds to a few minutes. Also, during REM sleep, our body is paralyzed entirely so that we don?t act out our dreams and ?fall off trees?. There are 2 different entering points for sleep paralysis.

Hypnagogic or Predormital Sleep Paralysis

Hypnagogic sleep paralysis occurs when a person tries to fall asleep. After relaxing all muscles and about to enter the ?sleep state? that person becomes aware that he or she is paralyzed.

Hypnopompic or Postdormital Sleep Paralysis

Hypnopompic sleep paralysis occurs after a person’s REMs. Often occurring after lucid dreaming, a person becomes aware that he or she is paralyzed before leaving the REM state. This can cause numerous things from hearing & seeing strange things to a “chocking sensation”.

There are numerous symptoms pointing to sleep paralysis. This page will confirm whether or not you have or might have sleep paralysis.

The first and most obvious symptom of sleep paralysis is having the sensation of being paralyzed without being able to wake yourself up. Often times people wake up and discard it as being some crazy dream without realizing that they in fact were paralyzed. A sleep paralysis episode may last anywhere from 5 seconds to 3 minutes, maybe even longer if you fail to exit properly. During the longer episodes you gain consciousness of what?s going on yet your senses aren’t 100% clear; your eyes can be blurred a little, your hearing is altered, and it still feels to some degree like a “dream”.

The 3 most common symptoms of sleep paralysis are 1) consciousness of what?s going on, 2) realization of the paralyzed state, 3) extreme horror.

It’s difficult to control sleep paralysis because of the intensity of the horror that sleep paralysis sufferers experience is unbearable. In fact, when undergoing sleep paralysis, the person does in fact think that he or she is going to die. Of course, only after you know about sleep paralysis and the causes of sleep paralysis that you can actually try to treat sleep paralysis.

Here’s a list of other reported sleep paralysis symptoms:

* Buzzing noise in your ears

* Seeing the old hag, cartoon characters, and dream objects come to life in their room

* Shifting gravity

* Sensation of something pressuring you

* Levitation

* Inability to speak/call out for help

* Choking sensation

Sleep paralysis contributed to many of the night stories ancient cultures spread ranging from the old hag to demons, the devil, and other “evil” religious figures like witches. We have our own share of alien abduction stories many of which begin with “suddenly I couldn’t move”. Now you know that aliens aren’t probing you during a sleep paralysis episode superstitious religious people will see demons, alien believers will see aliens, and others will see cartoon characters, people, strange animals, and pretty much anything that your mind can come up with.

Sorry for the wait again!!!! I have exams. ——————— Trying to hold back tears from her founded family and also the boy who spent most of his time thinking about her, she ran, whipping her way across the field to the forest. Her mind racing, her heart pounding, her head in total disbelief. What was she to do? Turn around and allow her family to protect her from their enemy? Turn around and fight for her life? Nothing about her life with the Cullen’s and Jacob from when she was 6 months old had escaped the vast corners of her brain, as though they were locked away in a secret compartment, way back in her mind. Her breathing began to pick up and heart rate sped. Even though, like Edward she could run as fast as he, her Mortal gene definitely dominated. Like a human she had to keep using up oxygen for energy spurts. However, she would run out sooner or later, causing her to stop sprinting from exhaustion. This wasn’t the reason for her sudden deterioration in speed. 2 large wolves blocked her path. A grey, tatty wolf to the right and -a wooden shade of brown -wolf to the left. Renesmee’s fearhad come true, to be cornered by ravishing wolves, taking her last breaths. As though totally brainwashed, she didn’t remember them. Still all a blur, she immediately dropped to her knees and scrunched up in a ball on the dewed grass muttering to herself. “Please don’t hurt me!” she repeated herself over and over again until finally a pair of hot, dry hands were on her …

Ghostly Hauntings Or Sleep Paralysis?

Have you ever woken up convinced you have been abducted by aliens? Ever had a spooky experience with a ghostly apparition and thought for sure it was real, only to later recall it as a dream? Well, discounting the paranormal and your normal dreams momentarily, let’s consider that what may have happened is a rare case of sleep paralysis.

I say rare because for a normal person this kind of an event can happen once or twice in a lifetime with no lasting problems as a result. However there are some who experience this quite often, and because it is rarely talked about (thus rarely diagnosed) it can lead to waking conditions such as stress, anxiety, and even PTSD.

Sleep paralysis has been described as being a condition wherein you are experiencing some effects of REM sleep (muscle atonia) while you are still somewhat conscious. Thus, it only happens noticeably when you are falling asleep or waking up. It can last for a mere moment or continue on for several minutes and in almost every case it causes the afflicted to feel a panic response, and/or extreme anxiety.

Because the mind and body is “stuck” in the beginnings (or endings) of a REM sleep cycle, people have often described hallucinations as being present during this experience – hence it has been postulated that everything from alien abductions to ghostly encounters can be attributed to sleep paralysis. People have described all manner of strange and out of place objects and/or situations present during SP, all of which are no more real than a 3 dollar bill.

AM I DREAMING?

One of the biggest problems in properly diagnosing this condition is because people normally discount the experience as a dream (or nightmare, respectively). Since it is such a fantastical experience, we don’t really have the faculties to consider the alternative of having just had a “bad dream”. In fact, while it is entirely possible we were just dreaming about drowning in a bowl of spaghetti, it may actually have been more than a dream, it may have been a bonafide physiological condition and documented sleep disorder.

There are a few treatments to consider, some of which mirror the insomnia cures your own Doctor would recommend. Benzodiazipines, for example, have been known to lessen the frequency of this condition. It’s also smart to see your local doctor or sleep clinic to be evaluated for possible narcolepsy, another sleep disorder I’ll be talking about in later articles.

So should you find yourself floating towards the little gray people in the sky and unable to stop it, keep in mind that you may not be bound for interstellar travel – you may just be stuck dealing with the remnants of REM sleep and a process the body has been known to manifest from time to time. With some pretty average insomnia cures you can combat the problem but most of all, never let it stop you from getting a good night’s rest!

Irene Mckay has worked in sleep research for over a decade, specializing in clinical studies designed to improve the quality of restful sleep for individuals suffering from chronic and transient insomnia. She runs a research and treatment site called Insomnia Cures where she critiques and explains various insomnia treatments.
