I know what insulators are I've been a communications tech for 40 years. These are new and usually mounted about half way up the pole and have a weather tight enclosure with an antenna on top connected to it.

The above URL makes some compelling viewing . I did some of my own film analysis including filtering, freeze framing and background screening. The film actually does stack up.
