Good point. Having an alien experience is just as believable as having a godly experience
They don’t?
I don’t believe in them and I’m not a Christian.
The fact that so many have TLE says it ALL for me.
hahaha such a good point. the same can be said to the ones who dont believe in ghosts
one is an all-powerful space daddy, and the other…is in space-oh, oops
Who said we dont?
I believe many, many things are possible in this world and definitely in the ever after.
Have a great evening!!
Cinn =)
many ppl who are not Christians dont believe in them either. if there was a such thing as aliens, and if they were important, it would be in the bible. so obviously its not important or they dont exist. just buch of weird people trying to get attention, saying the saw aliens, and UFO’s..and when rapture happens, and christians are taken off the earth, ppl are gonna say it was aliens… but we will be in heaven with Jesus, praise God
What? You expect christians to believe in that nonsense of some dude miraculously floating up into the sky? Wait…. oh, nevermind.
there are no flying saucers and little green men
Conflict of interest and besides the Bible doesn’t tell them all their god’s secrets, so they just assume if the Bible didn’t tell them so, then it is not so.
Because it’s not in the bible…..
and also because there’s no proof of "aliens."
Although I know some Christians who think that there could be life on other planets. I agree with this, but right now there’s little to back up this argument, aside from beings the size of bacteria or plants.
Hello,
Because these aliens do not seem to have any common sense given their intelligence in getting here. They always go for trailer park trash as opposed to abducting more brilliant people from Universities or military complexes. Two and two just doesn’t add up!
Also, unlike Christ there are no witnesses to help document their existence.
Cheers,
Michael Kelly
I’m a Christian. I believe God created life. And who knows if He created life on other planets? I mean I’ve never seen an alien, but I don’t see God either and I believe in Him.
I see signs of God and His works all the time. I guess the same could be said about crop circles. I also believe in ghosts.
Because it blows a lot of holes through their theology. First of all, the obvious question arises of how intelligent beings from another planet get "saved". Did Jesus live other lives on other planets to save the inhabitants of other planets (reincarnation) ? Or does God make different rules for different planets? Or are inhabitants of possibly 100,000+ planets saved by something that might have happened in Israel/Palestine 2000 years ago? It’s a question they’d rather just avoid because there is no good answer for it.
Furthermore, there is the question of what beliefs these aliens from an advanced planet may have. What if they are atheists? Or New Age beliefs? Or something completely different than any Earthly religion? And what if they live much more peacefully than people on Earth?
It gets yet even more troubling for religion. Ezekiel describes "angels" as riding around in silver metallic disks, "the color of Beryl" (a metal with a high melting point currently used in NASA spacecraft for this reason).. these disks zip through the sky.. it begs the question, are "angels" just aliens? Is the "God" of the Old Testament an alien? The Bible also clearly states that angels live in the sky.
And the Adam and Eve story… would an almighty God need to form Eve from a man’s rib? Or would it make more sense that an extra-terrestrial would do this? (Note that Dolly the Sheep was cloned using stem cells which are found in ribs among other bones)
There is actually more documented evidence of alien abduction than there is for the Christian god.
Most Christians believe that UFO’s and aliens (if they exist) are the work of demons.
Your question shows that you misunderstand the Biblical use of the word "believe". A belief is not the same as an opinion. A belief is an underlying assumption of truth which we must hold in order to live, i.e. to make everyday decisions in life. I have no need to hold any such underlying assumption of truth concerning aliens. I can have an opinion or not; it doesn’t matter to how I live my life.
But everyone, including you, must hold a belief about God. I believe that my Creator is the ultimate key to joy and peace and so I assume as true that He exists so that I might seek Him.
You probably hold the belief that being independent and free of any authority over you will lead you to your best shot at happiness. You also must believe that you can safely ignore your Creator and therefore it is safe to not seek Him. Your belief is just as unprovable as mine.
Many Christians prefer not to believe in aliens because it threatens their safe mindset. The concept of God, on the other hand, perpetuates a warm and fuzzy little snowglobe mindset where they feel right and unthreatened. It gives them hope.
I am a very hardcore Christian and I believe in aliens. However people abduction stories can hardly be compared to the bible. Obviously they are testimonies like the bible has but the bibles is the truth, is Gods word, and gives hope. But my belief in aliens is only to the extent that they are demons in disguise looking to deceive man kind into believing in the one true God, Jesus Christ.
Grrr….
CORRECTION:
But my belief in aliens is only to the extent that they are demons in disguise looking to deceive man kind into NOT believing in the one true God, Jesus Christ.
universe too vast for just us to be all by ourselves. mankind wrote the bible, not God, and mankind is far from perfect. nuff said
I am christian and I definetly believe in aliens, there is just too much proof of them to dismiss it. I do also believe that it is demonic in nature, This article makes some very good points http://www.jeffersonscott.com/nonfiction/ufos.htm
