Yes it expands your mind! Job? With an open mind you can reach any job you want! Are you studying for a job in 7th grade? Are you an ‘asian work ant’?
EDIT: I was laughing too! I just meant that there are many possibilities for an open minded person… Just like the universe no boundaries… I study to learn, I learn to work, I work to live, I live to love and love to live but NEVER will I live to work , study to work or love to work FOR cash… Take care and the best of luck! X-)

Yes, there are so few Americans in the scientific fields that it is great your so interested. I’m in 8th grade and do the same thing. From all the different job searches I’ve done, it turns out there is a demand for research astronomers in America that are actually American and actually speak English. They make almost 100,000 a year after about 5 years, so the pay is great. Stick with it, and if you might even get a scholarship to a school with an observatory. (Harvard has the best one)

Yes, Astronomy is a great subject to like, I have been fascinated by stars since I was about 10.

There are jobs in NASA and various observatories around the world that you could get.

There is currently a high demand for astronomers and it is my opinion that it is the fastest growing faction of science, Biology and Chemistry were the 1800’s, Physics was the 1900’s and I am willing to bet Astronomy will be the 2000’s.

It’s very good. It gives you a better understanding of physics and helps your brain develop good thinking skills. There are quite a few good jobs in the Astronomy field. If you are good at math then do some research on being an astrophysicist, if they are good they can get paid a lot and work for NASA.

I think it is the best thing too. It is a good thing to be interested in because you learn so much. I also love to read books about space too. Actually I’ve loved astronomy since about 2nd to about 4th grade and from then and on. We barely ever do anyhting about astronomy in school too. Another thing I love to find out a lot of stuff about is geography, mostly the States. I guess I’m just a factual guy.
