Can anyone tell me if they enjoyed the Atlantis in the bahamas?

The Atlantis is great. It is a wonderful place to stay. If I am thinking of the excursion that you are likely talking about, I think you will enjoy it. Basically, the excursion includes your transfers from the boat to Paradise Island, it is a little walk from where they drop you off, something to be aware of if there are concerns with walking. You then meet up with a tour-guide that walks you around the resort explaining everything, telling you about different things, etc. Then, they take you to the aquarium and talk for a little while. You are only with the guide for about an hour and then you can go on your own. You can keep going in the aquarium, go to the casino, eat, etc. You just can't use the pool, but you can go out to look at it. To use the pool you have to book a night.
Just getting into the aquarium is about the same price as the excursion, so, depending on how much you want to see the aquarium, it may be worth it. If you don't really want to see the aquarium, but just want to walk around and explore, you may consider just paying for a taxi and going on your own, it will save you quite a bit. The bus that transfers your also narrates as you go along, which is fun as well.
I think the excursion is great, but it seems everyone I talk to really doesn't think it is worth it. But, it just depends if you plan to go to the aquarium or not.
I admit, I've never been there, but i watched a movie that it was in where these two girls and their family stayed there. It looked REALLY beautiful! Of course, i've never actually been there so i dont know if itz really that amazing, but hey! there's only one way to find out! go for it!
It was wonderful. Indoor aquarium , nice places to eat ,tour was interesting.
I would check it out if I were you. The "Dig" is worth the trip over there…huge aquarium worth the visit. They also have the biggest casino in the Caribbean…which really isn't that big. The size of the place is worth just checking out. Also, there really isn't much in Nassau to see, unless you want to spend your money on crap that says bahamas on it. They also have one of the biggest mega -yacht marinas in the Caribbean.
I just got back from Atlantis yesterday, and it was amazing! There is so much to see! The Dig has many beautiful fish. Throughout the resort the sea life is abundant. There are also great places to shop and eat, but make sure you take plenty of money. Other than Atlantis, there is not really anything in Nassau to do. If you are there for the entire day, I would recommend the Exuma Cay excursion. It is offered by Island World Adventures and leaves the dock about 9 and returns about 5.
