    Greetings!

As a new paranormal investigator you may want to check with your local area's historical district. I'd start by finding places open to the public. (Old town halls, schools, meeting houses, etc). Make contact with one of the historians and start your basic questioning to find out which ares would be best to investigate. I would also target historic locations where significant events have occurred or where large numbers of people have died. Again, if it's in a historical area there will be records of such events and possibly lots of potential sources to interview to build your investigation. It would probably offer many areas for you to explore as an investigator from your field interviews, to document/historical research, to your collection of evidence (video and audio). Such a location would be a great place to start out and learn as well as build your credibility. If you can document your findings and prepare yourself credibly, it can help you market yourself to gain acces to peoples homes that may be haunted in the future.

I'd be happy to give you more advice if you wish. I'd love for you to check out our group on Yahoo, TruthSeikers. "We strive to find Truth in our Quest while lending Support to Those in Need!" Grave yards, lots of spirits in old grave yards. Civil war battlefields. Check the library for newspaper accounts of murders or haunted houses in your area. If no one is living there you are unlikely to have trouble unless you advertise your presence.

wrong do not go to graveyards
that might b where dead people are
but thats not where the dead people died
you need to find a location where a tragedy occured, where some one died
chances are there spirit still remains there, cuz what happened to them was life changing
and they cant get past it
you should do some research before you do anything else

No cemeteries. Try local historical sites open to the public, talk to the manager to see if there is a quiet time there when you might be able to investigate or experiment. You can also try to put up a notice on a message board or message site for other paranormal investigators in your area. try meetup.com.

When I first started I talked to the manager of an old theatre, set up a time slipped the manager 50 bucks to let us in and hang around to lock up. From that we had been back there 3 times and have gotten word of mouth advertising.

I would be glad to help you if you need anything
