I’m not a psychic, but I would say that your dog is happy. Please read the peom "I am Free" to get an understanding. I believe that in death you are happy, even if your dead. You won’t be depressed and you won’t be furious if something happens. You will be free. The same goes for animals. Your dog would not be mad if you got another.

P.S. Don’t be offended that this is Christian, it’s just really pretty.
Of course shes not mad and she is very happy. Animals know when its time to pass on, no matter how the manner.
